Should I have a board?

This is always a question that comes up on most valuations. Some agents just put them up, some ask the question first.

Not everyone likes having a board for various reasons, but when selling, you need to use every tool in the box as you never know where your buyer is going to come from.

Some buyers will spend time driving around and may stumble on an area that they never thought about. They see a board outside your house, maybe then call and book a viewing and go on to buy your home. Would they have thought about it is they had not seen your board?

Delivery drivers, postman, friends of neighbours all will pass your door and may just think: I like the look of that house, or, I have been wanting to live around here and the interest may be prompted by a for sale board.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that these always help Estate Agents with a bit of marketing, but the ultimate goal is to find you a buyer so maybe think again about rejecting that board as they do find buyers.
